Picking up Cream’s “Toad” on a shortwave radio changed Charles life he fell in love with improvised music and especially with great musicians.  He got some drums, got together with some friends, and started this journey of love.  The first time he played a gig, and  saw the lights on his cymbals and his friends tuning up: It was one of the best feelings of his life.  As is the case with so many others, Life derailed dreams of stardom, in his case for 30 years and due to an innate musicality and an ability to play well with others that never died Charles came to be a member of this band of great musicians who love to improvise and love the music. Charles owes a debt of thanks to Ginger Baker and the crew that drove his teenage dreams to come true.
