Originally from St Louis, Kevin’s been playing for decades, starting in grade school where he became a fast runner trying to escape the neighborhood bullies while carrying a trombone. During Jr. High his dad bought him a Gibson electric guitar (as a bribe to practice his horn) and moved the family to So-Cal, where Kevin discovered the rock music boom of the late 60’s. While in High School he continued playing in the concert and jazz band and co-founded 60’s-rock band “The Enterprise”. During college, where he also picked up keys, he studied theory, eventually graduated with a music major and joined The Alcantar Bros., a well-known 8-pc LA-area “Horn band”. Afterwards, he played clubs in the OC area for several years with The Mike Caruso Trio. While taking time off from gigging to help raise a family he composed and co-produced multimedia soundtracks and moved to the Bay Area.
